Bang San Thai food is amazing. I was in town for a conference and I had Bang San Thai delivered every single day. The cashew chicken is awesome.

?????  These reviews are not exaggerating, this is a great place! My first reaction to the BBQ combo (chicken, beef, and lamb) which was a special of the day was shock at how tender and flavorful it was. We also tried the pumpkin curry which was delicious and seems unique to this restaurant. Staff was really friendly and provided great service. This is a must-eat for anyone in San Francisco.

????? I get take out from here occasionally, and i love it. the food is always ready when i come to pick it up, its still hot when i get home, and i love all the green vegetables they use. i wish the pad thai was a little less sweet but other than that its perfect. i love the dish with the sliced chicken and string beans too.
my secret pleasure is roti paratha ( i know that cant be good for me)
and i just feel really good eating here because it really is a family business...u can just feel it in the way they smile at you. love it.

????? Bang San is a great restaurant.
I love the Fried Chicken over fired rice (#36), the BBQ chicken, BBQ lamb, grilled salmon... everything! It is all great and tasty. Everything is fresh and large portions, and a big PLUS is the Halal meats. I know to be certified halal there has to be a health inspector there when slaughtered so I don't have to worry about sick animals being passed off in the 'slaughter line'. And no chemicals. And now they have a 2nd bigger restaurant where my family can all sit comfortably.
The food is freshly cooked to order and not greasy. The bESSST! and they even deliver and make party trays!!!

???? My choices are the hot and sour soup and the eggplant and tofu.  Everything tasted fresh and was well spiced but not overpowering. Prices were good - four of us ate for under $50. The Jones St. location is small but they just opened a new one that is bigger.  Now, how 'bout the neighborhood?  It is in the Tenderloin so if that scares you you can always get it delivered.  Personally, I think food is always better straight from the kitchen.
The meats used here are all Halal and organic.  If you're not familiar, Halal is the Islamic equivalent of Kosher - a set of dietary rules.

Great food for a great price!
I love this little thai rest in the tenderloin. I use to go there all the time when i lived around the corner. Now that i live in a better neighborhood I still order for delivery quite frequently. The food is soooo delish and the portions are huge! My favorites are the pumpkin curry, the pad thai is sooo yummy so is the pra ram (peanut chicken). To be honest everything i have had there is great and I always so back for more. My favorite appetizer are the curry puffs! In addition to watching the cook prepare the food (from scratch, but still quickly), tasting exellent um i also love the thai iced coffee and tea, it is all very inexpensive! everything on the menu, lamb and salmon included is under ten dollars! If you have a chance eat here! it is awsome!

?????  Their Drunken noodles are to die for, as is their banana icecream... OMG SOO GOOD.. I must say this is the bestttttttttttttttttttttt food ive ever eaten in my life. I used to hear San Fran has the best food, and I must say this restaurant didnt let me down. I was in Sacramento for work, and over the weekend had the chance to visit this place and was absolutely mezmorized by their food. Whenever I go back, I will definitely visit this place again.

?????  Absolutely incredible. I would eat here every day if I could. The best restaurant in all of America, without exaggeration. May Allah give them paradise!

?????  We love this place and every time we drove up to the SF city, we eat at Bang San for the Thai curry and noodles. Highly recommended for spicy food, good and friendly service. It get crowded so come early for lunch or dinner since seats are limited.

Authenic Thai food, and Halal!
There is no Thai restaurant like this in the Bay Area. Not only is it 100% halal, but you can see your food being prepared. If you are not familer with halal meats, they are certified to be raised and slaughtered under strict sanitary conditions and have no chemicals. You can taste the difference! The owner/chef makes most of the food herself. The restaurant is a bit small (a few tables and a counter where you can sit and watch your food being prepared) but definitely the sometimes crowded conditions are worth it. There are all the Thai regular dishes and also always changing specials. The barbequed lamb is incredible (try it over Thai fried rice w/salad. The pumpkin curry is out of this world! So is the fried chicken over Thai fried rice. The crispy calamari and Bang San rolls are great appetizers. The barbequed chicken is wonderful. Try the special pineapple fried rice (ask for it with lamb). I could go on and on - everything in this little restaurant will make you want to return.

...this little nook shines. I always order Pad thai Jay which is the vegetarian version of the popular noodle stir fry......WOW!!! Soooo flavorful and great portion size for the money. The vegetables were perfectly tender, the tofu golden brown, and sauced perfectly. Hands down the best thai in town.

... Bang San is my favorite place for thai in this highly competitive restaurant neighborhood. Bang San claims that their meet is Halal and raised without hormones or steroids. From the flavor of the Panang Beef I ordered, Halal Beef is the best. Also try their roti/paratta, not too common here, a nice change from the standard mango sticky rice, which btw they have too.
